Northern League Web Rater
Having a web site is an important part of a football club's promotional efforts, particularly in a country where the mainstream media coverage of football is limited at best. It seems all but a handful of Northern League clubs currently run a website, which is a good thing. The quality of the various sites, of course,
differs quite markedly.
So we've taken it on ourselves to assist in improving the general standards by launching our unique web rater system. This system includes five key criteria:
looks,
personality,
usability,
depth and
up-to-date-edness. Each site will receive a grade from 0 to 10 for each criteria, giving an overall mark out of 50.

When rating these sites, we were mindful of the fact that most, if not all, NRFL clubs are run by volunteers with limited time, so we weren't looking for the best websites ever created. We're basically looking for sites that do a good job. Many of these sites do just that, but (big BUT) almost all have little in the way or archives and pre-season updates have been patchy, at best. There are several notable exceptions and they have scored well.
We will update the table several times during the course of the season.
