Welcome to the Northern League Forum

The Northern Region Football League (NRFL) involves clubs from the upper half of New Zealand's North Island (involving the three northern federations: United Soccer 1, Auckland Football and Waikato Bay of Plenty Football). The 2010 edition of the NRFL welcomes back clubs from United Soccer 1, New Zealand's northern most federation, after a two year absence. This means that, without question, the NRFL is the strongest club league in New Zealand. And it's the perfect time to launch something new into the New Zealnd football market.

SEASON PREVIEW

The Auckland Football Federation have previewed the impending NRFL season by giving us a rundown on all (well, most) of the clubs. Find out how your club and your rivals are shaping up - Premier Division and Division 1

WEB RATER

The first Web Rater ranking table has been published. We've found some good club websites, some ordinary sites and also, surprisingly, a couple of clubs that don't even have a website (unless we've missed something). Please have a look at the table and let us know what you think about where your club ranks - we're sure this will make for decent forum fodder!

This Site

This is an independently run site, with no club affiliations. We've set it up as a meeting place for everyone with an interest in the NRFL. The site is built around the forum which, over time, we hope will develop into a thriving community.

The Name

We've called this site the Northern League Forum for ease of use and identification. Ask just about anyone and that's what they'll call the NRFL - the Northern League. This is, without question, an historical hangover, but not, we believe, a major one. And besides, Northern League Forum feels easier to use and runs off the tongue a little nicer than a slightly different moniker such as NRFL Forum.
